Planting young trees is always a novel concept for Melani - moving every 1-2 years has made it hard to plant anything... it’s fun to not only get to know the vines and how they want to dance, but to plant a tree and watch it grow. Have you gotten a glimpse of our newest employees yet? These two brothers were gifted to us as feral kittens, and while they’re still skittish of most humans, they have adopted Melani & Barley as their own (...he tolerates them cuddling with him...). They are fantastic mousers, cricket chasers, and bird watchers - just another way we can avoid using poisons to reduce the pest population. Plus they’re pretty cute!
