2017 Zinfandel “Stairs”
Paso Zinfandel – full-bodied, with dark fruit flavors.
Varietal: 100% Paso Robles Zinfandel
Oak: Hungarian/French Oak for 24 months
On the Label: Photo contest winner and U.S. Navy Veteran Dawn Whiting of Albany, New York, captured this stairway in Okinawa, Japan.
This smooth, jammy zinfandel is a classic rendition of the Paso heritage grape. Cocoa, tobacco, and dark berry notes on the nose, the tannins are subtle but hold up well with the moderate acidity. The finish is long, with a sweet raisin and blackberry preserve on the end. Pair with Asian or Moroccan dishes.
