Whether photography is your passion, or just an occasional pastime, we invite you to participate in our continuing Bon Niche™ Cellars photo gallery competition, illustrating the vision and emotion of being in a good niche.

For the 2009 Vintage Year we are very happy to have selected the photos below. We thank those who participated, and we hope you enjoy the "fruits" of your labor. We are collecting photos now for the next bottling, so share the news with your friends!  Remember to have your photos to us before November fifteenth.

L’entrée

Enthralled with their new niche in life, winery owners Wally and Joyce Murray planted their first vineyard with Malbec. So it seemed quite fitting to name this varietal L’entrée or “the entry” in French.

Tim Campbell of Yucaipa California took this inviting photo of an entryway at the Mission San Miguel, in California.

Voûte

A French word for arches that beautifully connect and support each other. When blended these three rich and beautiful varietals connect, support and become a wonderfully structured wine. In their new niche in life Wally and Joyce Murray enjoying blending these three lovely grapes for all to enjoy.

Supporting the endeavor to include various photos on Bon Niche labels is Bill George of Tucson, Arizona who took this picture in Cusco, Peru.

Chemin

Let your imagination run wild on the interpretation of path. Be it a cobblestone street, or a tunnel of trees, each leads you somewhere unique. Wally and Joyce Murray, owners of Bon niche, have named their blend of five Bordeaux varietal grapes Chemin, or “Path” for this was the blend that enticed them to follow the road to a good niche in life.

This enchanting pathway was taken by Loretta Campbell near the charming town of Killarney, Ireland.

Voyage

Memories of trips around the world, and the experiences of magnificent sights, delicious foods and incredible wines reminded Wally and Joyce Murray of what a trip it’s been to start a vineyard and winery. This beautiful red wine is named for many a bon voyage.

This inspiring photo was taken by Wally Murray while vacationing in Venice, Italy.

Fenêtres

Inspiring windows, or fenêtres in French, will frame the view of many a great place. This moved Wally and Joyce Murray to name their Petit Verdot for the beautiful point of views achieved by being in a good niche in life/

The photo on this bottle was taken by Joyce Murray in Siquenza, Spain.
